Competition Title: Senior Resident Worker Competition No: 2019-03-04 Posting Date: March 13, 2019 Position Status: Temporary Full Time until the return of the incumbent Grid Level: $20.91 per hour Initial assignment: Abbott House Rotation & Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm Restrictions & Requirements:  This position requires BCGEU membership.  This position is open to Female & Male applicants. Required Qualifications:  Mandatory Class 4 Drivers License or Class 4 Learners with a road test booked  First Aid Certificate  To be knowledgeable and adhere to all care plans  To be knowledgeable in Community Care Facility Licensing Requirements and CLBC funding guidelines Desired Qualifications:  Community Support Worker certificate, or equivalent combination of education & experience  Demonstrated ability to comply with consistent schedule and behavior plan structures.  Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries in a group home, community settings and with staff and with families.  Excellent communication skills in all required formats.  Strong leadership skills.  Strong conflict resolution skills.  Demonstrated proficiency with documentation.  Demonstrated ability to administer medications according the MAR sheet with close attention to detail.  Job Duties The Senior Resident Worker will work a regular line shift consisting of 8 hours per day. The Program Coordinator may require tasks to be completed and will delegate them when necessary. Senior Resident Worker may be taken off the line to cover the Program Coordinator's duties during absences and vacations.
