-Aerating your lawn is required because over time grass can grow really thick and when you add in the lawn trimmings from cuttings and the natural lawn thatch that builds up over time you begin to starve the soil and roots below of much needed nutrients, especially Oxygen. Aerating your lawn, helps counter this effect and keeps your soil healthy, in turn your grass can breathe and develop a healthy and robust root system. This translates in beautiful lush growth. -Lawn detaching Otherwise known as power-raking is an integral part of any professional lawn care program. Why is lawn dethatching necessary? Over the period of a few months or maybe a few seasons (especially if you’re leaving your grass clippings on the lawn) your lawn will accumulate a layer of un-decomposed grass stems, roots, and lawn clippings. These accumulate at the surface of your soil. Lawn care professionals usually refer to this layer of organic matter as “thatch”. This decomposing organic matter prevents oxygen and other nutrients from reaching the grass roots, which in turn can create unhealthy looking grass. It’s important for your soil to have good airflow in order to promote the microbial growth that will help break down all of the organic matter that accumulates in this thatch layer. After these processes are done, then we offer, Over-seeding, Fertilizing, and regular lawn maintenance. Call 778-422-2406 For a free quote!!
