Under the supervision of the Shift Manager, this position ensures accurate counts of cash assets from the slot machines. The pull team works together to retrieve, sort and verify the cash using automated bill counting machines. This is considered a part-time position three mornings a week or can be full-time with cross training in other areas. The candidate must be available from 8am to noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to): • Assist with pulling cassettes from slot machines, counting money, and reconciling count, help with preparation of reports. • Experience with currency counters, works well with the team and can take direction. • Remain calm and in control when events don’t go as planned. • Strictly follow and enforce all COVID-19 policies and procedures. • Keep machines clean and sanitized • Immediately see to potential safety hazards and report as necessary to shift manager. • Undertake other tasks and housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor. • Comply with the Chances Cowichan dress code and other policies. Qualifications/Skills: • Ability to do basic, quick math is essential. • Able to accurately sort and count large sums of cash • Team player with strong interpersonal skills. • Able to stand for long periods of time with frequent bending, crouching, reaching, push/pull carts and turning keys. • Basic computer skills for training and possible cross training in other areas of the facility. • Must be 19 years of age or older and have a BC Vaccination Passport.
