Landscape installation supervisor / crew leader required immediately! Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour We are based out of the south Cowichan Valley and operate from Goldstream Heights to Shawnigan Lake through Cobble Hill & Mill Bay up through Duncan and into North Cowichan. I'm seeking an enthusiastic hard working individual to join me for four days per week. Experience is required. I need someone with at least 4 years of landscaping experience working for a professional company and at least one year leading a crew on landscape installations. I require someone who can stay on with my company through the reminder of this season. This position is for someone who wants to work in a positive and healthy work environment and will take the initiative to help the company with its goals and keep its work site head quarters organized. The applicant needs to feel confident in their ability to know their way around gardens and plants and basic landscape construction jobs like; installing plants, soil, gravel, trees, moving / adjusting irrigation, placing boulders, laying flagstone etc. Heavy equipment experience is also prefered. We operate mini skid steers and compact tractors. You also need to know how manage time well and be confident in giving direction and allocating other employees to jobs and be able to speak well with clients. You must be able to; lift at least 50lbs, handle hard physical work all day, working in the cold & rain, and be approachable and friendly, have a valid BC drivers license and a clean driving record. We are a landscape design & installation & organic garden maintenance company, we focus on safe and sustainable practices. I'm seeking people that share these values. No smokers. You must be healthy and fit. You are also required to have a mobile phone and your own hand held garden pruners, rain gear, gloves and steel toed boots.
