The Canadian Mental Health Association- Cowichan Valley Branch Overdose Prevention Site (OPS) and Sobering Assessment Centre (SAC) are currently looking for qualified individuals to work in this valuable, fast paced, community orientated, harm reduction program. The OPS and SAC are important components in a continuum of services for mental health and substance abuse issues. OPS provides a safe, structured and secure environment for individuals who are using substances to use under supervision and have immediate access to life saving measures if necessary. SAC provides a safe, structured and secure environment, twenty four hours a day, every day of the year, for individuals who are under the influence of substances and who, because of their intoxication, are unable to access appropriate services in the community.
