That facilitates superior grip as well as release with the thumb. This ain’t your daddy’s Princess Auto wrench. Ermmmmm….. Jaws open to 1 5/8" wide. Three adjustment wheels on the left, as pictured. I’m just a weekend warrior so no professional use. I’m moving to the old school stuff as a preference, pictured to the left of the ProPoint.
