Executive Director

Chemainus/Crofton Community Schools Association (CCSA) seeks to engage an Executive Director who is motivated to work with a small organization that provides programs and resources to support children, their families, and communities. CCSA is an incorporated society and registered charity governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the Nonprofit Sector and be guided by our mission statement: “to support the needs of children and families, contribute to their health and well-being, and enrich their lives through community education, care, and development.” This is a grassroots administrative position with close connections to the people served. The successful candidate will be someone with excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills, and the ability to operate within all levels of government organizations as needed. An undergraduate degree or equivalent in a field related to children is required. A strong understanding of basic bookkeeping, budgeting, grant writing, and human resources are desired assets. Hours: The position will be 30 flexible hours per week @ $45,000 yearly salary for the first 3 months, with the goal and intention to grow the role to a permanent position with additional hours and income.
