We are seeking an experienced wood finisher or motivated trainee to join our professional team. Cowichan Woodwork is located in Cobble Hill in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. We specialize residential and commercial cabinetry and millwork. This position is full time with overtime likely . Job duties include wood finishing and prep of all kinds preformed in our well-equipped spray booth and sometimes on site. We are seeking an individual with a high level of skill and experience using all typical spray finishing equipment including gravity feed, pressure pot and air assisted airless. The candidate is required to have excellent communication skills and the ability to read and write in English as well as do basic math. Colour vision with a high level of acuity is essential as is the ability to work on your feet 40 hrs per week as well as being able to lift up to 50 lbs. We would consider training the right person who demonstrates integrity and the desire to learn to become a professional wood finisher. Competitive wages are based your ability and engagement. Wages are reviewed 30 days after hire as well as at 90 days. We offer an RRSP program that comes into effect after 1 year of employment.
