Do you want to help reduce food waste while helping to provide food to local families? Now in its 7th year, our "Zero Food Waste" program accepts 2000lbs/month of food from local businesses and farmers -- food that would otherwise be discarded. Our "Soup-er Group" uses some of this food to produce 250 cups of soup a week. We freeze the soup for handing out to local families and individuals, or serve it warm during our daily Drop In. By boiling and freezing the produce, we're able to use up food that otherwise would have spoiled within a few days. See our video on the Zero Food Waste program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frAiTS_6J4I SCHEDULE: Pick a day and time you like. We make soup between 1pm and 4:00pm Mondays and 10am to 3pm Tuesdays.
