The Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association is seeking a part-time Tack Store Coordinator to join the team starting at 16 hours per week. Somewhat flexible schedule, but will include some afternoons and weekends. The Store Coordinator will assist with the design, outreach, and implementation of a new Tack Store/Retail Module of CTRA's Stable Management Vocational Development Program, under the guidance of the Store Manager/Instructor. The Coordinator will also assist with the day-to-day running of the tack store, and will help expand the store's online presence on Social Media. The successful applicant must be able to work independently and in a team setting. They must possess a good working knowledge of English and Western tack and equestrian equipment. They must have very good social media skills (Facebook, Instagram) to be able to operate the tack store account. Retail experience, basic office/admin experience, and experience working with people with disabilities an asset. This job requires exceptional social skills for interacting with the public, our many volunteers, and diverse therapeutic clients. $15 per hour. Full job description available upon request.
