Hey all, I'm a responsible, clean, + quiet person in my mid-20's. I work full time in the valley in health/education. I've spent the last 2 years full time living in my RV but am realizing that there is a possibility of 2-3 people helping each other out financially with housing. I've lived on the island for most of my life and have never seen so many ads for people searching + failing to find housing for themselves as right now. What I notice when I browse housing ads is that there isn't a ton of 1 bedroom spaces for rent, but there are a handful of 2 or 3 bedrooms available at reasonable cost. I would be curious about meeting the right group of 2-4 adults who can make a shared housing situation work out for the next year or 2 here in Cowichan. Having a clean, + respectful home is really important to me (it's why I originally chose to live solo in an RV instead of finding roommates a few years ago). I enjoy moments for shared community, balanced with the ability to quietly retreat into my own projects. I enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, crafts, board games, music, hiking, camping, + paddling. I come with a cat who can be slow to warm up to other people + is not very well suited to living with another cat, although I'm open to discussion. We would be happy to live with a dog. My current housing situation is stable, and I am in no rush to move but much more interested in putting together a group of roommates that will be able to find compromise + live together sustainably. Please shoot me a message explaining the time line you would need housing sorted out by, and what your ideal housing scenario looks like. Looking forward to getting to know you!
