$850 · Room in Shawnigan Lake Home

FOR AN INDIVIDUAL ONLY. A room available in the upstairs of a Shawnigan Lake home from February 1, 2021-end of September 2021. There will be an option to stay on and start up your own lease if all goes well and it's a good fit in the house. I currently have a desk in my bedroom, a queen-size bed and two side tables. The closet in the bedroom is huge so I use that to hang all of my clothes. There are 3 closets in the living room! One is currently being used for towels/linens, another we have been using to hang winter jackets, and the other we have used to store musical instruments, games, etc. but you can decide with the current tenant if you want to make changes to that. Your parking spot will be covered which is very nice for keeping your car drive ready in the winter. No one is currently living in the bottom suite. Every once in a while I will come to stay for a couple days to get away from the city but I will be staying in the contained suite downstairs so you will have a lot of privacy. Wifi: Wifi is included in your rent. Super fast and unlimited use. Furniture: -House is furnished but the bedroom is not. It will be available for you to furnish as you'd like. Garden: -There is a big beautiful garden in the backyard that will be shared with your housemate as well as one of the neighbours, but there is a lot of room to grow if you wish to use it! Laundry: -There is laundry in the building! For the washer, it is currently downstairs. You have to walk around the house to access the bottom level of the house but the washer and dryer work very well. Garbage/Recycling/Compost: -Garbage tickets will need to be purchased by the tenants but it is usually around $10 a month and can be purchased right in the village at Aitken & Fraser. -Compost & Recycling are included in your rent. -Glass + soft plastics will need to be taken to the recycling centre because shawnigan pickup doesn't pick them up. Deck: There is a huge deck and it is beautiful to enjoy in the summer.
