Requiring help can be a very humbling experience. As a Carer, I am sensitive to the needs of Older Adults, keeping you or your loved ones feelings at the forefront. I will do my best to put you or your loved ones needs first, while also maintaining their dignity at all times. As a Carer, I recognize the needs of an Older Adult and do not make assumptions. I encourage you or your loved one to do as much as possible on their own to preserve independence, function and dignity. Personalized care services include (but are not limited to): Companionship and Conversation Light Housekeeping, tasks and meal prep, laundry and ironing Medication (self-administered) and Appointment Reminders Assistance with daily routine (dressing, bathing, grooming) Paperwork or internet guidance or assistance, support with organization of home. Running errands I encourage independence based on ability Bring Joy based on personality and interests Provide Safety Help to Maintain a healthy lifestyle My responsibility is to treat Older Adults with respect and provide Person-centered care. Person-centered Care means looking not only at general expectations and standards of services, but acknowledging the individual, their experiences, context, history, family and preferences.
