MOA - Home Share /Financial Administrative Assistant-Full Time

Rotation & Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Competition No: 2019-01-01 The role of a Home Share / Financial Administrative Assistant is to provide direct administrative support to the Home Share Coordinator, Finance Manager and the Home Share Program. Vital Society's Home Share Program supports adults with developmental disabilities to live in the community. The Home Share / Financial Administrative Assistant plays an integral role in the efficiency and organization of the Home Share Program and Financial Management of Vital Society. Desired Qualifications: Medical Office Assistant Certificate or experience is an asset but not required. New graduates encouraged to apply as well. Willing to train the right candidate. * Attention to detail * Able to prioritize and multi task * Able to work under pressure * Ability to follow direction * Data entry * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Patient and friendly * Organized * Some knowledge of medical terminology (an asset) * Basic book keeping (an asset) * Able to work seated long periods of time * Strong work ethic * Able to work well in a team as well as independently * Maintaining strict confidentiality * Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel, answering and directing emails and phone calls * Maintain databases and paper/electronic filing systems to keep accurate records This position is permanent full time (35 hours / week) BCGEU - Community Social Service Worker - Classification: Administrative Assistant 3 - Pay Grid level 10= Starting rate based upon experience $18.47 to $21.51; Comprehensive benefit package including Municipal Pension Plan.
