I made this kitchen island on caster wheels because the kitchen in my suite was so small. It worked great for doing dishes and preparing meals. And then when I didn't need it, I just rolled it off to the side of the room. The wood is cedar and the marble slabs are actually Brazilian rain forest. The red in them is petrified wood, the white is calcium deposits and the bits of green are a type of fossil. I love looking at them. The only thing that bugs me is that the slabs are a touch higher in some spots. But it kept me from sliding things across it so there's no scratches on the top because of that :) And thanks to the cedar, its lighter than it looks. The dimensions are 43 1/2" x 24" x 36" high.
