Child Behavioural Support Worker - Casual

IDM Youth Services Inc. (IDMYS) strives to provide safe and stable homes for at risk youth while offering all-inclusive residential care. All-inclusive care includes things such as cooking, cleaning, driving to and from appointments, offering emotional and behavioural support, and more! We value building relationships with our persons served and strive to reduce their stress and provide continuity of care. We practice from a trauma informed lens with a person-centered scope and believe that all children and youth should be treated with dignity and respect. We are currently hiring for casual worker positions to support a 6-year old female with complex needs and provide structured, energy burning activities throughout the day while at the same time providing a very calming, therapeutic environment. The current location for this resource is in the Westshore temporarily until we are able to acquire a location in the Cowichan Valley or Duncan area. This resources operates in 8 hour, or 16 hour live-in shifts which include sleeping hours. IDM Youth Services Inc. has regular opportunities for advancement and offers training certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Compensation and hours: 16 hour shifts, 4:00PM - 8:00AM are paid at a flat daily rate of $180-$190 Hourly shifts are paid at an hourly rate of $21.75 - $22.75
