This Morgan 56 started out as a Morgan Out Island 512 at the Annapolis Boat Show in 1981. It had 5' added to the stern by Hinckley Boat works in 2002. All the load bearing systems were converted to hydraulics at that time. Now all of the sail trimming, sail furling, spinnaker pole deployment, and the windless are controlled at the helm by hydraulics. The 95hp diesel Perkins 4-236 was installed in 2002 along with a 11KW Westerbeke 11 BDT genset. The galley features a full size refrigerator, 10 cut freezer, ice maker, two burner electric stove top, two burner propane stove top, and built-in convection/microwave oven. There are two heads, both electric, and one shower stall with small bathtub. This boat has crossed oceans easily handled by two people yet there is room for eight to sleep comfortably.
