Speed Watch Volunteers Needed - Cowichan Community Policing & Engagement Society

Position: Volunteer Description: We are looking for dedicated, mature individuals who share a passion for bringing education and awareness about road safety to the communities where we live, work and play. We would love to have you join our group of committed Speed Watch volunteers in any of our three office locations. Locations: - North Cowichan/Duncan - Chemainus/Crofton - Cowichan Bay *We are also looking for volunteers in the South Cowichan area. For more information, visit: https://southcowichancommunitypolicing.ca Requirements: - Attend a free 2 hour training session in classroom and outside practical deployment training. - Ability to obtain and maintain an up to date RCMP Criminal Record Check. Time Commitment & Duties: - Conduct a minimum of two speed watch deployments a month (two hours each), and Ideally do so for one year, or more! - Attend a monthly 1 hour Speed Watch team meeting. Volunteers are the heart of community policing so we are looking forward to having you join our team.
