Mother’s Day is around the corner…for your poultry enthusiast why not give one of these beautiful purebred heritage breed trios. Each trio consists of a 9 month old hen (just started laying), 9 month old roo, and an older hen. Barnevelders (the brown birds in photos) are beautiful birds with double laced plumage, excellent for the small farm, good layers of brown eggs, good foragers. Lakenvelders, with their unique black/white/black plumage are active birds, excellent foragers easy on feed and lay a relatively large white egg for their size. Also the longest laying breed I have ever had. Plymouth Barred Rocks with their classic striped plumage, are one of the best dual purpose breeds out there. Their easy going disposition make them a nice addition to the flock. These Barred Rocks are from heritage lines not commercial stock. The main part of the fee is for the POL purebred hen. The older hen is essentially free but helps with group dynamics. Please email for more info. Located in Chemainus.
