Its a 5 spd MANUAL transmission ( SO NOT AN AUTOMATIC ) ..The car runs beautifully and is very well maintained no leaks or smoke .. The Car is surprisingly roomy for a 2 dr Hatchback and WILL fit 4 adults comfortably Recent within a month brand new Clutch , Pressure Plate , throw out Bearing and Fly wheel , Both Up stream and Down stream O2 sensor replaced . This has a Timing chain and not a timing belt and it was changed @ 200,000 kms by previous owner Had the dreaded clear coat flaking , so i had it resprayed . You won't be disappointed with this car , it is the RS model so it has the body kit so it doesn't look like a regular Echo ..Just dont expect a brand new car for $3500 its 19 years old so its not mint .
