Great Greens Farm Market - Assistant Produce Buyer

Full time position with the opportunity of moving into the Produce Management role. We will provide full training so experience is not necessary. Successful candidate will be responsible for: -Maintain standards daily for stock levels, product quality, merchandising on the floor -Monitor department cleanliness and insure staff are rotating and cleaning tables/racks as needed -Receive and audit deliveries to insure product quality and accuracy of accounting and pricing -Prioritize items delivered to insure proper handling-floor/ prep/ back-stock -Maintain cooler organization and rotation -Strategize with Department Manager to manage strategic product placement -In the absence of Department Manager, effectively communicate with the team to coordinate to achieve daily goals and smooth department operations -Ordering: • Audit stock levels to prior to placing orders • Order to insure ample supply with appropriate inventory levels to promote stable margins • Maintain product quality by insuring regular “turns”-product in and out • Work to achieve balanced selection -Paperwork: • Audit deliveries for product quality and invoice accuracy • Audit pricing per current invoice and update pricing • Maintain signage to accurately reflect up to date pricing Compensation will be base plus bonus based on performance and department growth.
