Job description We are seeking a full time Kitchen Manager to complete our team. The ideal candidate will excel at working in a fast paced environment and enjoy being part of a likeminded group of passionate professionals. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with back of house staff and other department supervisors to ensure the smooth running of day to day operations. Qualifications: -A strong understanding of culinary procedures, trends, and standards -Interpersonal and collaborative skills for working in a team setting -Ability to work under pressure -Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome issues in the kitchen -Ability to be on their feet for long periods of time -A basic financial understanding of managing waste, inventory, and upkeep of kitchen supplies Responsibilities: -Preparing and maintaining the quality of menu items included but not limited to sandwiches, quiche, breakfasts, salads, soups etc. -Hiring, training, and disciplining kitchen staff -Seeking ways to improve kitchen processes and ensure prompt service -Work with chefs to ensure that the menu is correct and up-to-date -Set standards for kitchen cleanliness and ensuring cleaning is done regularly -Tracking kitchen waste and looking for improvements for financial return Must be available 5 days a week, Tue-Sat. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $22.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience
