If you buy a tray it can be used for smaller birds but best suited for Med - large birds maybe as a sleeper cage or a hangout the gaps for the food containers and where the rope is at the bottom are too large for budgies or Parrotlets unfortunately I have 4 out of 5 bowls with it but just any generic bird dish shoud fit the slots if interested shoot me a text or email
