From small scratches to heavy collision repairs, our team can carefully analyze, assess, and fix damaged vehicles. We're currently seeking an Automotive Refinishing Technician to add to our expanding and award-winning team. This job is an excellent opportunity if you wish to seek new challenges in your career within the Collision industry. The Automotive Refinishing Technician’s duties include: • Working with your prepper to prepare surfaces for painting. • Matching colours and mixing paints. • Applying primers, primer surfaces (including UV), sealers, base coats, single-stage, and clear coats in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. • Operating spray booth through bake cycles as per manufacturers recommendations. • Notifying management of any additional repairs needed (Re-inspect). • Notifying management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised timeline. • Maintaining spray guns, tools, and equipment in a proper state of repair. • Maintaining and wearing all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. • Cooperating and assisting other personnel as required to complete high quality jobs on time. • Cleaning and polishing painted surfaces as required. • Operating tools & equipment in a safe manner. • Other tasks as assigned. To be successful in this role, the Automotive Refinishing Technician will: • Be able to work in a team environment and take directions from the Production Manager. • Be personable, customer service oriented. • Have a strong work ethic, integrity, and ambition to succeed. • Be highly organized and detail oriented. • Be able to prioritize and manage deadlines. • Be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions. Training & Certifications will be provided as required. Red Seal & I-CAR training are considered assets. Benefits package shall be available upon successful completion of the three-month probation period. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
