The Cowichan Valley Arts Council operates a community gallery and studio that acts as a cultural hub. CVAC operates two community art galleries and a workshop space for youth and adults featuring about 30 exhibits annually at the Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan. The Opportunity The Managing Director is responsible for overseeing, directing and developing the administrative and operational functions of CVAC, including its resources, strategy and communications, and physical and online spaces. The Managing Director oversees several part-time employees, supervising a team that handles social media marketing, programming and summer programs as well as volunteer coordination. The Managing Director reports to the CVAC Board through the Board President, works closely with the Board Executive and liaises with several board committees. You are community-driven and you know how to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders including businesses, schools, elected officials and other non-profit groups.
