Become a valued member of our Team!! Park Patrol WAGE RATE: $17 - $20 hourly rate, depending on experienceEMPLOYMENT: March 15-May 15 start date until approx. September/October 2020 (flexible dates depending on park)HOURS: Full-time (32-40 hours per week) and part-time seasonal positions, afternoon/evening shifts. WORK LOCATIONS: Goldstream Park (Victoria), French Beach/ China Beach and the Juan de Fuca Trail (Sooke, Jordan River) Must have reliable transportation to job location. JOB OVERVIEW: This position key function is to provide patrol/security services within the permit area to the campers/visitors. Duties include ensuring the park is safe, clean and functional for all visitors along with maintaining public and noise control based on Rules and Regulations set forth by BC Parks and RLC Park Services. Other duties such as fee collection, firewood sales, basic maintenance and reporting are required. (see full job description for more details) QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Drivers Abstract required) Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) required upon hiring Current First Aid Certification (OFA) - an asset EXPERIENCE: Public safety and security &ndash managing public behavior Cash handling experience/abilities Visitor/customer service in a park or campground setting or similar Local knowledge of visitor opportunities an asset Professional communication skills PERSONAL QUALITIES: Service oriented and self-motivated in busy setting Excellent communication skills and public relation abilities Trustworthy and reliable Ability to perform physical tasks such as selling firewood/general maintenance duties Please provide a Cover Letter with completed Application form(www.rlcparks.ca/employment) We are hiring now for the summer season.
