Avenir Senior Living Position: Dietary Aide Job Types: Casual Salary: Up to $20.97 per hour We require someone with Food Safe Certificate Level 1 Along with the below information, we are looking for someone available to work on a Casual basis, with the opportunity for increased work in future. The Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role in making the dining experiences within our Community filled with meaning, memory, and relationships. Food should be prepared with care, served with pleasure, and appeal to all of the senses. Food and beverages should reflect the preferences of the Residents who live here, with a few surprises thrown in for variety and spontaneity. Under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the duties and responsibilities of the Dietary Aide include, but are not limited to, the following: Developing relationships with the Residents in your Community to ensure foods and beverages of their choosing are readily available as desired. Being available to prepare meals spontaneously to coincide with individual Residents' daily routines and appetites. Prepare and assemble items such as sandwiches and salads. Wash, peel and store vegetables and fruit Portion and serve food and beverages in the Dining Room's according to Resident Profile in Diet Census. Including but not limited to modified diets and therapeutic diets. After meal times, clear and clean Dining Rom and Cottage Kitchen, washing dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. Responsible for replenishing stocks, delivering food, and supplies to the respective services areas. Perform cleaning duties.
