Landscape Gardener

Landscape Gardener required immediately to join our team! We are based out of the south Cowichan Valley and operate from Shawnigan Lake through Cobble Hill & Mill Bay up through Duncan and into North Cowichan. Occasionally in Victoria. We are seeking another enthusiastic hard-working individual to join us for four to five days per week. Horticultural experience is preferred but not necessary but relevant skills are. We are happy to train the right candidate into this role. This position is for someone who wants to work in a positive and healthy work environment and will take the initiative to help the company with its goals and keep its work site & head quarters organized. We provide training for success and to have a great experience with the company. You will gain confidence in working with gardens and plants and basic landscape construction jobs like, installing plants, soil, gravel, trees, moving / adjusting irrigation, placing boulders, laying flagstone etc. You must be able to; lift at least 50lbs, handle hard physical work, work in the cold, rain & heat and be approachable and friendly, have a valid BC drivers license. We are a landscape design & installation & organic garden maintenance company; we focus on safe and sustainable practices. We are seeking people that share these values. You must be healthy and fit. You are also required to have a mobile phone with data plan and your own handheld garden pruners, rain gear, and steel toed boots. Initial pay is $20 / $24 / hr based on experience & skills.
