HEALTH CARE AIDE

We are looking for a kind, caring, and reliable individual to join our team of caregivers in caring for a young man with severe spastic cerebral palsy and quadriplegia. The shifts available are Friday and Saturday overnight shifts (8:30 pm - 6:30 am), dayshifts (6:00 am start time and flexible end times), and afternoon shifts (flexible start times and 9:00 pm end times). The duties for overnight would include changing briefs, showering the client, medication administration, dressing the client, preparing the g-tube feeds for the next employee, and some minor cleaning. All patient transfers are done with two employees. The overnight shift does allow for sleeping when the client is sleeping. The day and afternoon shifts would include all the above duties as well as feeding the client and taking the client on outings. Successful candidates need to have current First Aid with CPR, a criminal record search completed and paid for by the employer, and preferably a CSW or HCA/RCA certificate. A clean driver's abstract is also needed if you are required to drive the client. Previous experience with similar duties will be considered, and training will be provided. The starting wage is $23 - $26 per hour with the higher rate given to those with more experience and training.
