Basic Ham Radio Course

Amateur radio, also known as ham radio, is the use of the ham radio frequencies for non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation, self-training, private recreation, networking, contesting, and emergency communications. If any of these purposes intrigue you, sign up for the Cowichan Valley Amateur Radio Society's (CVARS) free Basic Ham course. This course is designed to provide you with all the information needed to obtain your Basic Amateur Radio Certificate and call sign. An examination by an accredited Industry Canada examiner is included in the course.
