I grow this organically. No pesticides or herbicides. I load a lot of organic horse manure in the garden and then lay a whack of maple leaves on top as mulch. The Garlic loves it. I started my crops years ago from the Gabriola Garlic Guy who sadly is no longer with us. This variety is a great keeper (I have never run out), is tasty and you can put as much as you want in your food and never feel like you overdid it. I am selling about $4 a bulb for the big ones, which works out to $16 a lb. This is a good price. I have seen them in stores for over $30 a lb. You can use these for planting (in fall or winter) or just for eating. Garlic has a lot of proven health benefits. The ancient greeks gave it to their athletes to improve their perfomance. And it tastes amazing. I am happy to trade for organic meat, or other things we may need.
