Enjoyable part time job for a support worker who enjoys driving

We are seeking a part time driver/housekeeper who lives in or near Duncan to join our team. You will be joining a group of people who feel like family. We help each other support a personable Deaf adult (who has additional challenges) to live a good life. The hours are approximately 10:00 am to 1:00 or 2:00 pm 2-3 days per week (Monday to Friday). The pay is $16 to $18 per hour plus mileage. You are qualified to do this job because you are safe, reliable, friendly, flexible and mature. You are an excellent, careful driver who enjoys driving your reliable, clean, economical vehicle. You also enjoy light house-keeping (such as washing dishes, helping with laundry, sweeping and changing light-bulbs). People feel comfortable and safe with you because you have clear, respectful boundaries. Knowledge of American Sign Language is an asset. Whether you know ASL or not, you are comfortable with people from diverse backgrounds such as people who speak different languages and people who have disabilities. You respect Deaf culture and are willing to communicate with a Deaf person through body-language, facial expression, gestures, occasional notes and help from interpreters when needed. You are able to meet our Ministry of Health requirements by providing proof of vaccination. This is a long-term part time job for the right person.
