This role supports a wide variety of operational and administrative tasks and is often the first point of contact for industry related enquiries. The Admin Support Generalist supports and works with other office staff assisting with a wide range of general office duties including accounts payable/receivables, payroll, filing, data organization and input, and other office and operational duties as required. Contributing to the success of office operations is key to this role including respectful collaboration and supportive team approach working together to maintain effective and efficient administrative office operations. Opportunities will include recommending and/or implementing changes to increase efficiency and data integrity, improve operational and office policies/procedures, provide additional support to accommodate changing workloads and provide coverage as required for vacation and sick leave of office staff. This role is required to work in the office at the Chemainus location located on beautiful Vancouver Island British Columbia. Job Requirements - Education, Experience and Certification: • Post-secondary education (certificate, diploma, degree) in Office or Business Administration or related field, or equivalent. • Minimum one year of current administration experience • Minimum one year of computer experience entering data, generating spreadsheets, word documents and reports. • Experience working in the logging field would be an asset but not required.
