WANTED: Work exchange opportunity for couple

We're a couple in our 30's from Vancouver and we're currently looking for a longer term work exchange on Vancouver Island for this summer or fall. We would love come and work on a farm or homestead - or at another local business, like a B&B for instance. A little about us: Dean has over 6 months Wwoofing experience on a farm in Hawaii (Maui) in 2015 where he helped with all types of work including cooking, gardening, building/ maintenance work. It was a positively life changing experience and he continues to stay in touch with his Maui family to this day. He is also a Certified Holistic Practitioner and chef, who loves to cook healthy meals full of flavour! He loves getting physical and working with his hands and has some basic carpentry skills. Julika is a Project Coordinator with a passion for community building. Since she moved to Canada from Germany in 2013 she has learned to love and appreciate nature more and more. She would love to live in a rural setting and deepen her knowledge about permaculture, sustainability and farming. She's also a photographer and has experience managing websites and social media accounts. She has an open mind, a big heart and a can-do attitude. The two of us started a business together in 2019 called Juvalicious, and we were offering Zero Waste & Plant Based Catering services in Vancouver. Since the pandemic started, we have switched to a Grocery Delivery service and are hoping to support our community in this way for as long as we can. However, we've always planned to relocate to Vancouver Island at some point, and it seems that this will be a great opportunity to actually make the move. Our earliest start date is in July and we can stay for anywhere from 1-4 months. We'd prefer to have our own living space on the farm (room or cabin). We look forward to hearing from you!
