WANTED: Looking for a new family dog

We are softly looking for a new dog as we lost ours in May so I thought I would reach out to let people know if they can no longer keep their dog or can't find a rental and need to re-home their pup, consider us, as life happens and/or rentals that allow pets can be harder to find! We have a hobby farm acreage in Cowichan Bay and our ideal pup would be: medium size, between 1-5 years old and in good health as we don't want to lose another too soon. Open to size, but not a teacup or giant and not one that is a habitual barker. Kid friendly as we have a 5 year old. Cat friendly as we have one that likes dogs and acts more like a dog than a cat! Good with other dogs as well. We also have other animals on the property: chickens, ducks, sheep and pigs, so nothing that has a high prey drive.
