$700 · WANTED: Horticulturist looking for a place to live

Hi! My name is Jake and I'm a 26-year-old horticulturist living in the Cowichan Valley at the moment. My current landlord is putting her home up for sale so I'm looking for a new place to live as soon as possible. I'm looking for a place anywhere between Duncan and Langford and am hoping to be able to trade yard work for a discount on rent. I work full time for a company that holds the maintenance contract for the CVRD parks and trails. I'll be finishing my education towards my red seal in the fall/winter. I don't have any pets and I have a vehicle. I'm looking to rent a room in a space with an open-minded, kind, respectful person/people. I'm tidy and tend to keep to myself for the most part but I'm happy to chat as well. I have a lot of plant knowledge and have a few plants of my own.
