$10 · Video & Social Media - Intern/Trainee Position

Hi there! We're a digital media startup in the Cowichan Valley looking for someone to help us capture our own work and process through vlogs and other social media. This is ostensibly an unpaid position, with a modest honorarium, access to gear and training, a meal allowance and opportunities for future work. It will also be a great opportunity to build up some IMDB/film credits and a resume. It would be well suited to a student or recent graduate or a mature high school student. Our ideal candidate will have: - A passion for social media and an interest in film, business and/or digital design.. - Some familiarity recording simple videos for YouTube, Instagram or Facebook. - Knowledge of basic video editing, using iMovie, Premiere, Final Cut or Davinci Resolve. - A comfort level presenting or facilitating on-camera interviews (training provided). - An eye for detail; able to tell when something is 'on brand'. - Availability at least some business hours (Tues/Wed, especially).
