The Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association is seeking a summer Maintenance Worker. The period of employment lasts for 8 weeks starting approximately May or June 2019 and the successful candidate will be available for this entire period. The Maintenance Worker has the primary responsibility for the maintenance of the facility and surrounding areas. Duties include, but are not limited to: painting, weed eating, mowing, equipment maintenance, trail upkeep, minor facility repairs, power washing, garden work, and other small projects. This position is suitable for those with a proven ability to work with little to no supervision and those with excellent multi-tasking, prioritization, and problem solving skills. The work is physically demanding and requires skill with common maintenance tools and equipment (weed eater, power washer). Only those with solid, applicable experience with similar jobs will be considered. Experience or familiarity with horses is an asset. Our organization is a place of respect, trust, and inclusion.
