$650 · Room with ensuite bathroom in community farmhouse

Hello! We have a room opening up in our home in Cobble Hill for December 1. This could be shorter term, for the winter, or long term for the right fit! We are looking for someone who is community minded and excited about living on an organic farm (and potentially farming themselves or collaborating on farmy projects). The house is on seven farmable acres and is clean, bright and spacious. There are four others in this home and we enjoy sharing meals, having fires and the occasional party. The available room is either a big bright room downstairs, or one with an ensuite bathroom on the upper floor of the house, west facing. Rent is $650 per month, plus utilities which are pretty low (usually about $20-30 per month). This is also an opportunity to farm if wanted - the land is deer fenced, irrigated, has a 20x50 greenhouse and the barn is set up with a wash station. Its best to have a vehicle to live here. We are about 15 minutes from Duncan, 10 minutes to Cowichan Bay, and 45 minutes to Victoria (it is commutable, but not ideal, its really best if you work in the Cowichan Valley!).
