Payroll Coordinator

Job duties will include but are not limited to: Collect and summarize timekeeping information Perform all required data entry for bi-weekly payroll Update employee payroll required, as required Maintain deduction amounts for taxable benefits Process and prepare annual T4's Prepare Records of Employment (ROE), as required Prepare payroll deduction reports for accounting Generate payroll file for direct deposit payments Incorporate employee requests for payments out of banked or vacation time into relevant pay periods Prepare employment verification letters Ensure compliance with collective agreements Process garnishment requests, if required Qualifications Required: 3+ years of payroll processing experience Business degree, in any discipline Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certificate Must be familiar with integrated web-based HR computerized payroll system Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency with Excel and Word Be conversant with basic accounting principles Must have superior organizational skills, accuracy of data entry, meet deadlines and be able to work independently and as part of a team
