Part-Time Classroom Teacher (Duncan)

FACE-TO-FACE TEACHING POSITIONS OPEN: Regent Christian Online Academy is on the search for a Part Time Classroom teaching position on Tuesdays & Thursdays in Duncan for Grade 8&9 Science, Science 10, Life Science 11, Science for Citizens 11, Anatomy & Physiology 12, & Equine Sciences 12 We invite you to apply to join our dynamic team of educators who strive for excellence in all that we do as we support learners who school mostly from home. Teachers will guide learners through ministry of education expectations; providing formative assessment throughout. Applicants should be willing to spend several days per school year to one day per week face to face with learners; depending on the needs we have in our blended learning opportunities. The available positions are part time with the potential for more with RCOA experience. QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING: A teacher who is certified by the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools. A teacher who enjoys the opportunity to teach students who are in a Distributed Learning or Homeschooling program. EXPERIENCE: Experience and education related to working with students in Distributed Learning and project based learning is helpful but not necessary. CREDENTIALS AND/OR SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Certified by the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools. Applicants should have a heart for being role models for Christ. Understanding of the dynamics of Distributed Learning. Ability to function as a member of an educational team and collaborate with teachers, parents, EA's, SEA's.
