$30 · Large Antique 1920s-30s Folding Handle Woven Reed Baby Basket~Nice

For sale is an antique 1920s- 30s Folding Handle Large Woven Reed Baby Basket. This basket is in amazing condition for it's age, it is still intact and bot bail handles still are firmly attached and work perfectly. It measures 29" wide by 17 1/2" deep by 11" high not counting the folding handles. It was ver common years ago for ladies to use these baskets for newborn babies as they worked outside and coulc have the baby with them and by folding the handles upward they could cover the baby with a blanket from the sun and insects. He handles are 1" wide and no cracks or repairs on them. On a closer examination this basket has all been hand nailed, there are NO staples at all. It is probably at least 85 years old, it is really, really old! Item is located in Ladysmith, BC.
