ISO Bottles and Cans for fundraiser!

Cowichan Valley Shimmy Mob raises funds for the Cowichan Women Against Violence Society. We have opened accounts at both the Norcross and Fisher Road bottle depots. Please consider donating your returnables to either account or we can pick up. Shimmy Mob celebrates World Belly Dance Day and was created to raise awareness and funds for shelters for victims of abuse. United, we dance using the same song and the same choreography, wearing the same t-shirt, sharing the same goals, on the same day all over the world. To date, thousands of dancers from all over the world have taken part in an effort to raise awareness of domestic violence. They have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for their local womens charities. Together our team has raised in excess of $21,000 for the Cowichan Women Against Violence Society and Somenos House. Almost all of us know someone or have been victims of abuse, so this is a very important cause to support.
