I am looking for any information regarding the identity of the driver in a white late 70's style pickup truck in the area of
Duncan/Cowichan Valley & Koksilah River Bridge/Wilson Road.
The driver was travelling south on the 1 Trans Canada Hwy at approx. 10:30pm and when approaching the Koksilah River Bridge, which was under construction, he sped up to overtake me from the right merge lane. In the process he hit my car, a red 2000 Ford Mustang, damaging the right passenger door & side fender, puncturing the right front tire and causing the front bumper to come loose (which is now held on with duct tape).
The driver did not stop and as I was on a bridge, I was unable to pull over until at the other side. Although there were some cars behind me, who clearly would have seen what happened, not one car stopped and it was too dark to get license plate numbers.
The white truck looks late 70's with a horizontal coloured line through the middle of the tailgate and *think* the driver was wearing a baseball cap.
It's possible the driver had been coming from CHANCES CASINO. I think this because his reckless driving made me think he had been drinking, the casino is less than a 5 minute drive from the incident location and it seems to be the only place in the area that would be open at that time.
If you saw what happened or you know somebody who witnessed it, like maybe they told you about "an accident they just saw" or they got a license plate number or anything....
PLEASE can you call or email me:
