Hi there! My name is Claire and I am new to the Cowichan Valley. I moved here in May to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Education from Vancouver Island University. I have years of tutoring experience and I spent this last year working in a licensed childcare centre in Victoria. At the centre, I worked with larger groups of children as well as working in a supportive, one-on-one role with children with special needs. In addition to my experience I have an Associate Degree in Social Work, I have up-to-date first aid and a Responsible Adult Certificate. I also graduated high school with my Dual Dogwood Diploma (so I can help with any French Immersion homework). Due to the current state of the pandemic, all tutoring sessions would be socially distanced or via video call. I personally feel comfortable with either, so it would depend on the comfort of your family and the best delivery for your child.
