External Job Posting Competition Title: Community Support Worker Competition No: 2019-01-06 Posting Date: January 22, 2019 Position Status: Permanent Full Time Grid Level: $18.15 per hour Initial Assignment: Dogwood House Rotation & Schedule: 39 hours, Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm to 9:30pm and Fridays, 12:30pm to 7:30pm Job Duties The Community Support Workers provide personal care assistance and support to individuals to promote and maximize independence in community, including assistance with activities of daily living and delegated transfer of function tasks, as directed and in accordance with established plans of care. Required Qualifications * To be knowledgeable and adhere to all care plans * Driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract * To be knowledgeable in Community Care Facility Licensing Requirements and CLBC funding guidelines Desired Qualifications * Demonstrate ability to comply with consistent schedule and behavior plan structures * Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries in a group home, community settings and with families. * Excellent communication skills in all required formats. * Demonstrated proficiency with documentation. * Demonstrated ability to seek out activities both in and outside the community that meet the goals of the persons served and have fun participating in these activities * Demonstrated ability to administer medications according the MAR sheet with close attention to detail.
