Commercial Security Guard - Generic Regional location of the job(s): Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo Hourly wages offered: Starting $13.85 -$14.54 (common), $15-$16 (occasional), $17+ (rare) Job details: Primary function is patrolling, often during "off-hours" (standing, walking, observing, report writing, interacting with public, etc.), Shifts usually 6-8 hours in length Setting/Environment: Construction sites, businesses, hotels, schools, front desk concierge, etc. Number of positions available: 10+ Job responsibilities Provide superior customer service to clients and general public. Provide access control and security foot patrols as needed. Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts. Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures if necessary. Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor. Ensure logs and reports are filled out accurately and professionally Be familiar with the post orders and health and safety regulations. Perform all duties with high safety standards. Job requirements BC Security Licence (mandatory) OFA 1 (mandatory) Experience using cell phone/computer an asset, previous security experience an asset.
