Caregiver / RCA / Care Aide

Elderly Woman with Parkinson seeking a health care aide (caregiver) for a part time position working Wednesday mornings - 7:00 am to 3:00 pm,. May include on-call work filling in throughout the week as we provide 24-hr care. Will be expected to provide essential and important daily living support and comfort. Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and other personal hygiene activities. Must be a team player as you will interact with family members and other caregivers. Must be willing to abide by our Covid-19 Safety Plan and Protocols, including wearing a mask in the home while caring for the client. General Roles and responsibilities expected of all staff include: - Assisting client with her mobility - Performing housekeeping tasks, such as vacuuming, cleaning, and laundry - Preparing meals - Assisting in personal hygiene and dressing - Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support - May be required to run errands, take her to appointments, go shopping with and for the client - Documenting services provided, incidents and/or accidents, meds given - Participating in team meetings, reviews and quality improvement strategies Essential qualifications: - Police check/clearance - Current drivers license Preferred but not necessarily required: - RCA (or equivalent) - 2+ years relevant experience
