Join our amazing Cowichan Valley MS Bike Committee and make a difference in the lives of Canadians affected by MS! Responsibilities: -Review last year's report and update equipment list for auction section from the previous year -Review previous year's donor list -Create a new donors list and identify new prospects -Work with MS Staff to approve and contact past and new donors -Confirm and pick up all donations in the Fraser Valley area -Create and deliver an auction volunteer orientations -Set up the silent auction area on event day -Supervise the auction area while bidding is open -Oversee the auction volunteers -Develop and oversee an auction close and payment plan with MS Staff -Take down live and silent auction areas at their conclusion Skills, Attitudes, Knowledge Required: -Clear communication -Good customer service & organizational skills -Must be able to do some heavy lifting -Access to a vehicle would be considered an asset Supervision/Liaison: -The Auction Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the auction support volunteers. -Works directly with MS Staff and MS Bike Committee MS Society will support your success through: -Offering a training session for your committee position. -Providing you with support and guidance. Sharing comprehensive tools and resources. Time Commitment: Long term (January - August). Attend 7 - 8 monthly committee meetings before the event (1 - 1.5 hours each) and a post-event wrap-up meeting. Be present at the event from set-up to take down on Saturday. Work remotely on auction prospecting and be able to pick up auction items in the Greater Victoria and Cowichan area.
