ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK Reporting to the General Manager this position will support the accounts payable function by performing various accounting, clerical and administrative duties. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Review invoices from vendors for proper authorization, proof of delivery, G/L coding and date * Organize and prepare and input stock payables; establish due dates * Request "emergency" cheques and EFT as required * Research vendor invoice/statement discrepancies; answer vendor calls * Maintain an orderly filing system for Vendor invoice (both open and processed items) * Ensure accuracy of data entered into system * Reception relief * Assist in other accounting functions QUALIFICATIONS: * 6 months to 1 year experience in accounts payable is a requirement * Experience in BisTrack preferred * Intermediate level in Microsoft programs (Excel and Word) * Exemplary organizational and prioritization skills, strong attention to detail, professional attitude and confidentiality * Time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills are essential * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills The successful candidate will be invited to join our high-performance team and will be rewarded with a competitive compensation plan including comprehensive benefits consisting of, Pension Plan, Life Insurance, AD&D, Short and Long Term Disability, Health Navigators, EAP, Health and Dental in a progressive, innovative working environment.
